Playing highlights: Kraken Winter UWH Tournament 2015, UK Student Nationals 2016 About me: I started playing during an exchange programme in York, England, in 2015. I had swam for a good deal of time but was looking for a different water-based sport... Octopush fit like a glove! With the incentive from the amazing York team I got really involved and basically addicted to it. Started playing: January 2010, Zürich Playing highlights: French national championships, Division 2, 2011-2012 with Mulhouse About me: When I first tried Underwater Hockey, it amazed me that there was so much more to do in a pool, in particular on the bottom of the pool, than only swimming on the surface. A lot of new skills, team work and tactics are involved in the UWH games, which are great fun to play. I feel recharged after a training session and looking forward to the next game. As a former swimmer, UWH gave me the chance to rediscover a new interesting sport in the water, and revived in me the competitive spirit of sports. I really cherish the privilege of playing in the Zurich and Swiss teams as precursors to great and better things to come in the development of the sport in Switzerland.

Playing highlights: 4th place with GB Men's Masters at 2004 World Championships, Water Referee of 2002 Women's Masters World Championship final, Coach of German ladies team at 2009 World Championships. About me: My underwater hockey career started in 1989 with Chesham Octopush Club near London UK, 1993 with Slough (first serious league club), 1997 UK Barbarians, 1998 first World Championships in San Jose (USA), 2002 first World Championship final (water referee, sadly not player!), 2004 GB Men's Masters in New Zealand. Now in Zürich, getting the sport established here.

Occupation: I.T. Project Manager & Systems Architect Started playing: 2008, Pécs, Hungary Playing highlights: Seeing how much water I can drink while playing (without drowning!). And also the rare occasions that I manage to shoot a goal against the trainer of the Pécs team! About me: I first learned to scuba dive, and loved watching the fish, but then I discovered Underwater Hockey. I never thought that I could say that I was "in love for the first time" but that is really how it was. UWH is a clean hard team sport, basic but not easy. I like going to competitions, playing in other teams as well to learn more and more. I usually play on the left or right side, but don't mind whether at the front or back. My home team is Piranha in Pécs, Hungary, but sometimes I also manage to train with the teams in Budapest, Hungary, and in Munich, Germany. My favourite tournaments are Parma, Ljubljana, Kranj, Sisak, Eszek, Ceske Budejovice and Pancevo.
